I purchased a new laptop for my daughter to take to University with her in the summer.  Less than two weeks after purchase, in August this year, (bought online from SonyStyle) it stopped working.   It would not boot up.   I contacted Sony Vaio and was told that they would not replace it or give us a refund - they would only offer a repair which they said would take approximately 5 working days.  She still had a few days before she was due back at Uni so we agreed.  We were given no other choice.  Since it was collected on 10 Sepytember 2009 I have made 15 phone calls to Sony, written 5 emails, one letter, filled in an online form of complaint, and been assured that it would be returned "soon" by a Customer Services representative - Mr James O'Brien.  I phone them every few days and do no get calls back.  I have been waiting nearly a month now and cannot get an answer from them as to when it will be returned.   I paid £1,168
