Business Review: Infoserve Ltd
Anonymous — Mon, 07/12/2009 - 3:21pm
Really poor service. Took a one year package on 3 listings (city visitor, local mortgage broker, infoserve newspaper groups). Got less than 30 clicks. Not one phone call. One enquiry from my site. All for £600.
No offer of refund, better listing or anythiong else. Might work if you are the top company on the list, if not, forget it!
PS I have a 5* website, 0800 number, a receptionist etc, so nothing ever missed.
Fobbed off with so many excuses for the last 6 months.

Poor customer service
Anonymous (not verified) — Wed, 03/03/2010 - 9:11amWe used Infoserve Ltd. for managing our GoogleAdWords campaigns. They seem to know their business but the customer service is terrible. I could never catch our account manager, he very rarely returned my calls and some of the changes to our GoogleAdWords campaign that I asked him to do have never been done...
Really upsetting and I am not going to use them again.

Anonymous — Mon, 25/10/2010 - 11:04pmTotal and utter bunch of idiots, they are truly only concerned with which sales person can provide or source the largest amount of Ketamin for the Friday night pee up!!
Had the "privelige" of working there up until very recently but decided I wanted to work for an SEO company with ethics.
Hi I TOO HAVE HAD A VERY BAD
Anonymous — Wed, 19/01/2011 - 12:31pmHi I TOO HAVE HAD A VERY BAD SERVICE FROM INFOSERVE, After taking a 1 year package deal it took a month to sort out before it went live. I had to change ALL the wording and pictures on the site myself after several complaints and very little response. Then finally thought it was all sorted. I paid for a position 1st page of google which was on there until a week ago, then its disappeared nowhere to be found on google. I've sent 4 emails to this company but still had NO reply. I would never use this company again, and advise anyone else who have been approached and had all the great sales patter to avoid like the plague as they do not deliver what they say. I have had no response through the web page they made for me, and It was a total waste of money. They said in the beginning that I would get a preview of the ad before it went live, they also said that my business name would be on the google page none of this happened. And when you try to cancel after 4 weeks with no word from them and them taking your money BEFORE IT GOES LIVE they suddenly get your mock of an advert/blog web page up and running with spelling mistakes etc and then tell you that if you cancel you would only get 20% of your payment back . TOTAL RIP OFF MERCHANTS AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Anonymous — Thu, 20/01/2011 - 5:28pmIs this for real?
I have a Yahoo Local listing through Infoserve. The listing process went through smoothly, and my account handler calls me every few weeks to make sure I'm happy with it. [to be honest, he can stop calling, the listing's fine and I'm not a conversationalist]
I don't think they do listings on the Yahoo search? I wanted that, Dave, my account handler said that the only way he could get me on there was via a Pay Per Click campaign. I've done that with Google, NEVER AGAIN, SO EXPENSIVE!
Google Adwords wont give you your money back because no-one clicks on your ad either.
They are a set of lying
Anonymous — Mon, 21/02/2011 - 1:48pmThey are a set of lying cheats. These rip off merchants have completely hoodwinked me at every step. Do not trust this company. They have no ethics at all. Do not part with any of your money. They area scam company trying to make a fast buck.

oliver (not verified) — Sat, 07/05/2011 - 11:57pmI fell for this and placed a Yahoo Local advert that did not appear correctly. I eventually emailed to STEVE BARNES, the Executive Chairman, at steve.barnes@infoserve.com
I sent a draft of a County Court Small Claim for my money back.
My payment was back in my account within a week!

Anonymous (not verified) — Thu, 29/09/2011 - 10:43amI hate infoserve - they are liars DO NOT USE THEM!!! You will be ripped off. Shame on Yahoo for getting involved with them.
I was told I would appear on the top of a Yahoo search next to a map, but this isn't the case.
wanted to be listed in yahoo
Anonymous (not verified) — Thu, 12/01/2012 - 8:27pmwanted to be listed in yahoo local like i am in google-which is free!
had to apply to infoserve to do this.
saw very bullish women spend ages trying to sell me a paid listing and would not put me in for free.
eventually put a paid listing in with keywords £150. neer had a single call from it!
waste of money because no one uses yahoo local.
do not understand why yahoo wants to be associated with infoserve as they are crooks and it makes you hate yahoo.
do not waste your money!
Apart from getting zero
Max (not verified) — Tue, 15/05/2012 - 2:51pmApart from getting zero business from the Yahoo Local Infoserve campaign there seems to be nothing I can do to stop them harrassing me.
I've unsubscribed from their emails more times than I could count and the phone calls just keep on coming. You can ask to be removed from their records, you can be polite, you can be rude. The only thing you can rely on is that you will get called again .... and again.
Shame on you Yahoo for associating with such an unethical organisation!
