The sales man that visited our house to quote for a conservatory was here for 2 hours despite us dropping numerous hints to clear off. Whenever we asked questions, the salesman was extremely defensive and snappy with his responses - you are naturally going to ask questions when you are going to commit to a large sum of money but he seemed 'narked' everytime we took him off course from his textbook amber windows sales pitch - which included calling the boss numerous times. The quote was a joke - £36,000, he then called his boss and the quote came down to £24,000!!!! By this time, we said we had to bath our baby as it was getting late, he said 'can i just phone my boss one more time' i asked him to do this in his car, in his own time - he flipped and started slamming his paperwork/window sample back into his bags and said 'we had turned on him' - to be quite honest I was un-nerved and slightly alarmed at his behaviour and promptly locked the door behind him - very strange individual/very strange sales technique! Be warned!!!
