Should FoulBusiness allow people to create reviews without making an account?

In regards to last week’s poll, we are removing the restriction of being a registered user to create a review on FoulBusiness. As of 3:00pm today (18/07/2010) anyone can file an online review without the need to create a user account with us. We hope this increases your thoughts on our ability to handle your privacy.

I purposely left it a while since I was going to write part 3 of the Mrs. Faith Gregory story, just in case I eventually did receive a reply. However, unfortunately I didn’t, and this comes as no surprise. It would have been nice for them to explain my questions but as I said in part 2, I’m not shocked that they didn’t.

Now and again you come across something online that you just know isn’t genuine. For example, “take this £4.99 pill and watch your completely bald head turn into bushy plant within weeks.” It may not be that obvious but I’m sure you see where I’m coming from.

A few weeks ago our database was accidently corrupted by a server-side error which resulted in most of our blog entries being deleted. Unfortunately, we couldn’t regain access to them because the only content that is backed up multiple times are business reviews. Reviews are backed on 4 databases on 2 separate servers. This means corruptions on server errors result in other content being deleted so we can keep the reviews.
